Books

In Norway there was a national apprenticeship program for equine professionals. In 2021 the course changed from being a purely equine course to also include other companion animals. New textbooks were needed and I was lucky enough to be invited to write them. I elected my colleague and friend Rebekka Morset to join me. We worked for three years and now all of the books are in place at all the schools offering the equine and animal vocational course. I was thrilled to be deeply involved from the start with planning, organising and writing the books. I illustrated the books with photos from my professional life and drawings. We also made a web version with extra review assignments and read-aloud functions that are very useful to dyslectic students. We made 65 instructional videos for topics that are hard to convey online, like lungeing, handling procedures and dog training. I can honestly say this is the highest honour I can achieve in my career as a teacher in this course and I am very thankful to Rebekka and our fantastic editor, along with everyone who helped out with extra pictures, appeared on videos, proofread, or in other ways contributed.
